Most Radioactive Place on Earth

Dr. Derek Muller, host of YouTube’s Veritasium science channel recently set out to determine what is the most radioactive place on earth.  He went to Hiroshima, among other places and discovered that the basement of the hospital near Chernobyl was the worst of the lot.  Apparently the workers and firefighters who were sent into the reactor core were sent to this hospital for treatment.  Their clothes which were covered in radioactive dust were discarded and stored in the basement which to this day is the world’s hottest spot.  Want to hear your Geiger counter have a nervous breakdown?  Just poke your nose in this “whine cellar” and you can be sure that your life span will be measured in months rather than years.
